HS Schoch Rear crash-box

Rear-end collisions on trucks belong to the most damage-inducing collisions on German roads. HS Schoch, manufacturer of truck supplies and styling, has taken on this problem with a new product, which combines a new underride guard with the usefulness of an additional storage box at the trailer’s rear. Unlike conventional carrier profiles, the fair novelty called SL 1000 functions because of a box-type design as crash-box with integrated crumple zone, running diagonally to the rear. The impacting vehicle – usually a passenger car – is thereby able to break down the majority of impact energy, which rapidly decreases the risk of injury. Next to its safety advantage, the SL 1000 also offers additional value such as extra storage box, and possible fuel economy because of the diffusion effect at the vehicle's rear. HS Schoch supplies the underride guard SL 1000 as complete, install-ready unit with rear lamps, reverse alarm system, side marker lights and the new continuous indicator lights with complete electronics ready for connection.
