Driven electrically, compact and very agile the Carvia Pro4 is going to conquer inner city logistics.
Following the e-mobility trend, ultra-compact inner city vans are used for delivery traffic. A practicable product of this category comes from Sweden and is called Carvia Pro4. The cute, stylish and short-hood car, driven by two environmentally sound DC-motors on front and rear axles, is powered by an electric motor with a maximum output of 60 kW and a top speed of 80 km/h. Electric power steering and power disc brakes ensure safe driving. A lithium-ion battery with 24 kW/h, which can even cope with Nordic temperatures of -30 degrees centigrade, functions as the storage unit. Concerning the interior, the Carvia Pro4 is equal to a small van in every way.
When it comes to multifunctionality, the compact Carvia can be compared to a Swiss Army Knife. The loading area can be fitted with interchangeable containers as e.g. a thermo-case or a tipping bridge. Attachments, such as snow shovels, street sweepers or broom units enhance a variety of bodies and implements. Even a mini semi-trailer version with a 18m3 cargo hold is available. The Swedish Stromer can be found in hall 26 at the IAA Commercial Vehicles.
