TomTom Telematics and VDO, a trademark of Continental, announced a cooperation at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2016.
The two partners brought an integration solution to Hannover, which connects the fleet management system TomTom Webfleet to the TIS-Web, the online portal for data management of Continental VDO. Fleet managers who use this solution will have better control over the data of their digital VDO tachographs in future. The automated download of data from digital truck tachographs, as well as the likewise automated application of this data into the TIS-Web help minimize the effort that occurs because of legal requirements and documentation obligation. Furthermore, TIS-Web analyses and evaluates the tachograph data. This information enables fleet managers to reduce unwelcome interruptions in regard to truck schedules.
Clients of TIS-Web who have already installed TomTom Webfleet also profit from this cooperation, according to company information: they can now merge both services to a single user-friendly solution.
