German truck driver Friedhelm Schäfer emigrated to Finland eight years ago. Since then, he has been driving his four-axle Mercedes-Benz Arocs with a nine-axle truck/trailer combination for a Finnish lumber transport company.
His daily load comprises 76 tonnes of lumber, which he transports distances of between 80 and 280 km on snowy and icy roads at minus 20°C. In tricky conditions like these, Friedhelm Schäfer really appreciates the handling, comfort and winter performance of his 630 hp Arocs, his trusty companion across Finland's prairies.
