MAN is building on connectivity, e-mobility and new concepts for the commercial vehicle future.

MAN is back – with innovations the manufacturer from Munich is going to set new trends by networking modern commercial vehicle fleets. The manufacturer-independent data transfer platform is called Rio and will be able to send maintenance and work data online in real time. The shared platform with the sister group Scania is going to optimize workshop duration and downtimes in order to save money. A new technology is also used for hardware. By 2020 an all-electric semi-trailer based on TGS with 250 kW power output and up to a range of 150 km will be established for urban centers. "We see electro-mobility as a challenge and integral part of our product series!", explains MAN Chairman Truck & Bus Joachim Drees at the IAA.
