GDH Transport and Container Logistik presents a new, mobile weighing system for sea containers at the international commercial vehicle trade fair IAA.
When it comes to container transportation, GHD-Transport and Container Logistic's side loader (outside area P56) is one of the most exotic. The new Solas (Safety of Life at Sea)-convention stipulates that the gross weight of all containers must be checked before they’re sent to the terminal since July of this year. At the IAA, GDH now presents a mobile weighing and transportation solution for sea containers, especially for use in the back country and in areas where there are no certified weighing solutions. The – according to the company – Europe-wide, unique innovation determines a container’s weight when lifting it with a mobile side loader, and transmits the weighing note to the comissioned shipping company.
