Trendfire (hall 11, booth C12) presents the possibilities of compact locating solutions for passenger cars, cargo vans, and other commercial vehicles – a complete telematics system independent of vehicle manufacturer. In addition, the company showcases a trailer recognition system based on RFID technology. The first step is to  mount a robust RFID tag which works without power onto the trailer. In the second step, the tractor unit is merely equipped with an antenna to retrieve data from the tag. Another innovation is a telematics app optimized for both long haul and local routes. Revised from scratch, the solution enables the driver to access all data relating to the truck journey in the blink of an eye - from rest areas and consignments to packages and cargo manifests. Above and beyond, it allows for a prompt documentation of damaged cargo and status of consignment.
