The new load securing tarpaulin Safe Curtain is one of Krone’s many innovations at the IAA.
The benefits of load securing systems are simple handling and weight reduction of about 90 kilograms. The tarpaulin is made of strong steel strips which are integrated into the cover with vertical bags. This makes it possible to omit the side slats. The cover provides theft protection – it can only be cut into pieces to the next steel strip. Safe Curtain is certified to DIN EN 12642 Code XL, VDI 2700 ff certificate and Daimler 9.5.
A further development of the Coil Liner Ultra is the Coil Liner Compact. With an empty weight of less than 5 tons and a corresponding increased payload, the trailer is perfect for transporting very heavy coils. Krone has shortened the vehicle to 10 meters, the coil trough’s length is only 6.3 meters.
Also new is the Cario Coil System, a personalized load securing system, that is based on two side grid rails. Due to the rails standard precautions with stanchions can be omitted and the coils can be loaded to the trailer's centre of gravity. The grid rail allows the variable placement of the braces with a distance of 200 millimeters each.
