Kögel Trailer presents the new curtain-sider truck Light Plus at IAA Commercial Vehicles.
The trailer's basic design comes in at a tare weight of 5,145 kilograms. Further reductions down to 4,775 kilograms are available at extra cost with additional weight-reducing features such as aluminum wheel rims and roof brows, or portal doors with honeycomb core. Similar to Kässbohrer's K.SCL X+, Kögel relies on the so-called topology method: In the ladder-type frame, steel is only being used where stability explicitly calls for it.
