The exhibitors were delighted to welcome prominent visitors on Tuesday. Following the official opening ceremony, Hildegard Müller, President of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), visited selected stands together with Dr. Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, Stephan Weil, Minister President of Lower Saxony, and Olaf Lies, Minister of Economic Affairs, Transport, Housing and Digitalisation of Lower Saxony. One of the stops on the tour led to the MAHLE stand. Arnd Franz, CEO of MAHLE, presented the company's new bionic high-performance fan to the guests. The fan blades were modeled on the wings of the owl, the quietest bird. This allows the fan's sound pressure level to be more than halved. This makes electric trucks significantly quieter under full load or when charging. At the MAN Truck & Bus stand, Alexander Vlaskamp, CEO of MAN Truck & Bus, and Dr. Frederik Zohm, Executive Board Member for Research and Development at MAN Truck & Bus, welcomed the prominent visitors in front of the MAN eTGX. The MAN hTGX hydrogen combustion truck is also on display at the stand.
