At the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024, Thermo King will be showcasing new models of the E-Series electric transport refrigeration units for small to large trucks and the Advancer-e Spectrum electric multi-temperature trailer refrigeration unit.
The A-500e Spectrum model, for example, offers precise multi-zone temperature control for different types of freight, providing a great deal of flexibility to meet the requirements of complex delivery routes with different temperature settings. The machine is compatible with multiple power sources, including the AxlePower self-charging energy recovery system, E-COOLPAC or Energ-e battery packs and truck ePTOs.
The Thermo King E series for large trucks will celebrate its premiere in Hanover. The machines can be operated in different ways: both by battery-electric (BEV) and engine-powered (ICE) vehicles - and even independently of the E-COOLPAC battery. The machines are equipped with HVDC connections and inverter technology and feature variable speed control for optimum cooling performance and energy efficiency. Real-time connectivity comes as standard on all E-Series machines for large trucks, giving fleet managers the visibility they need.
And Thermo King has brought another first - in this case for the last mile: the new Thermo King E-100e and E-200e machines are specially designed for vans and light commercial vehicles up to 12 m3. They feature a robust, compact and lightweight all-aluminum design. This reduces weight and maintenance costs and ensures easy installation in different types of vehicles.
The new E-200e offers what Thermo King claims is the best cooling performance in its class as well as improved performance and reliability thanks to its innovative reverse cycle heat pump technology. In addition, the E-100e and E-200e units are equipped with an intelligent control system that optimizes compressor speed based on ambient and load space conditions, increasing energy efficiency and performance.
