The votes have been counted. A total of 3,033 industry experts voted. The winners of Germany's major commercial vehicle readers' choice have now been chosen. The winners received their awards from the Stuttgart-based ETM publishing house at the IAA TRANSPORTATION in Hanover. Before this, readers of the trade magazines trans aktuell and FERNFAHRER as well as eurotransport.de chose their favorites. Current commercial vehicles as well as supplier and service solutions were up for election. For the first time this year, groundbreaking innovations from the IT sector, for example, were also included. Companies in the industry were able to nominate their models, products and brands in a total of 24 categories. When choosing the “BEST OF NEW TRANSPORTATION”, the following first place winners were ultimately awarded in the individual categories: Mercedes-Benz Atego (distribution truck), MAN TGX (long-distance truck), Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 (newcomer long-distance truck), Mercedes-Benz Arocs (construction truck), Mercedes-Benz Unimog WaVe (concept truck), Schmitz Cargobull S.KI (tipper), Schmitz Cargobull BERGEReco (lightweight trailer), MAN TGE (transporter), Mercedes-Benz eSprinter (newcomer transporter), Schmitz Cargobull ROTOS-Achse (axles), Hoyer Autohof Soltau (truck stops), Knorr-Bremse (brakes), DKV Card (digital payment systems), DKV Mobility (charging infrastructure), KRAVAG Truck Parking (truck parking), Mercedes-Benz Charterway (truck rental), Continental (tires), Daimler Fleetboard (Telematics), Schmitz Cargobull S.CU (Trailer Cooling), Schmitz Cargobull Trailer Connect (Trailer Telematics), Thermo King ThermoKare (Transport Management Systems), Volvo Electric Trucks (Emission-Free Mobility), Schmitz Cargobull EcoDuo (The Future of Logistics) and Daimler Truck Safety Systems (Safety). The wide range of categories shows the diversity and dynamism of the industry.

This year's IAA TRANSPORTATION offered the ideal platform to present the outstanding achievements and innovations of the winners and to exchange ideas about the future direction of the transport industry. The ETM Award is considered an important indicator and benchmark in the commercial vehicle industry. ETM Verlag held its readers' vote for the first time in 1997. In 2024, the coveted award will be presented under the motto "BEST OF NEW TRANSPORTATION" with the areas "Vehicles and Trailers", "Suppliers and Service Providers" and "Concepts" according to a new mode. Selected participants were available to vote in 24 categories, with the focus in most cases on the specific product. Readers could choose from 94 participants - truck and van models as well as products, solutions and brands from the commercial vehicle industry.
